Post-op visit with Dr. Sweeney!

Jan 17, 2009

Update: I went for my 3 week post-op visit with Dr. Sweeney! He said I was right on track and doing well! He reminded me that I am only 3 weeks out and to rest often! I feel great! I can eat about 5-6 tablespoons at each meal. I am NEVER hungry! Whoo! Hoo! My goal for next week to start walking to my "Walk Away The Pounds" dvd.

3 weeks post-op from RNY!

Jan 09, 2009

I had my RNY, 3 weeks ago and I have already lost 17 pounds! I feel "pretty darn good"! I am still sore on my left side where I had a drain inserted. All my incisions are healing well. I am on "soft" foods. I eat an egg and grits for breakfast, ground turkey or baby food meat, soft cooked vegetable, fruit for dinner/supper! I get full really fast! My family and friends tell me that they can see changes in my face and upper arms! I have my post-op visit with my surgeon on Tuesday!

Had my RNY Surgery on 12/22/2008!

Dec 31, 2008

My surgery went great! I had the RNY at Emory hospital in Altanta, Georgia by Dr. John Sweeney on 12/22/2008. Today, New Years Eve, I am 10 days out. I am doing fine. I am a little sore where I had a drain plced but I am fine! I am now in the "Baby Food" stage of the diet! Baby food taste good to me so I am ok with it! I am getting my protein from the baby food, Isopure RTD bottles and skim milk! I am not taking any pain medication right now! I am ready for the new year and the changes that will come with it! The butterfly inside me is ready to spread it's wings and take off for a new way to fly!
