Awww! Annette! That ole' empty nest syndrome. Been there, done that. Let me give you a wee bit of advice. It's really hard when they leave....but when they come back, it's an even worse shock! My son went to a co-op school. Stayed at school for three months, then moved home (bag and baggaage) for three months...back and forth for 6 years. The months he was home was very disturbing....like when did I say you could move back in? We got used to having him gone and then bang...here he comes again. You know the old revolving door syndrome???? Kidding aside..it is tough at first but then comes pure heaven when you have the house to yourself. Hope your surgery date moves up!!! Happy New Year Annette! Time is passing quicker than I thought too. I have 97 days left. FINALLY got under that three digit number. Didn't realize it until I read your post. I have a very supportive hubby too, also the family is right behind me. Got a new scale, portable personal CD player for walking, a Bari Bear for surgery, inspirational music CD's, all from family. They're all being wonderful. Take care and have a very Happy Healthy New Year! ~Dawn~

WOW! Annette! Two Shocks and April surgery dates...what a coincidence???? I've had my surgery date (April 2) since October 8th. And the time is really going by faster than I thought. Even though I want my surgery today, I guess I will have to wait. I guess we'll have to wait. Now, if only we lived closer together...and went to the same doctor and hospital, that would really "shock" people! Well anyway, good luck on your (our) journey. I think this is way cool! Have you ever seen the movie: THE WIZARD OF OZ??? Well, soon you will be saying what the wicked witch said when Dorothy threw a bucket of water on her: "I'M MELTING!! I'M MELTING!!!" Those lbs will just melt off of you soon. You will soon be walking down the YELLOW BRICK ROAD to see the WIZARD OF OZ and your sweetest wish will be granted. Congratulations and good luck to you. My husband and I both had our open rny's at Pacific Bariatric in San Diego in 2001 and have lost a combined total of 325 lbs. YOU CAN DO IT TOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
