I've been overweight since age 11. I've been considering some sort of bypass surgery for the past 6 years. I'm finally ready and on my way! I've done the initial consult with my family doctor, the mental health assessment, the insurance paperwork, and on 1/28 I'll be meeting with the surgeon. I've decided on the Realize lap band, but of course that could change. I'm excited, I'm scared, I'm happy, I'm overwhelmed. A friend at work suggested this site and already it's been very helpful.
