2 month check-up
Sep 02, 2009
So today I am two months out from surgery, and I have to say that I feel pretty darn good! Im down 36 pounds so far and who knows how many inches. Ive gone from a size 18 to a 14 and Im estatic about that. Ive finally started to exercise which I know will reap so many rewards, not just physically but mentally also. The thing that I am most grateful for is my restriction. I had alot of restriction from the surgery itself, and after only one fill of 3cc's I think Im almost at my sweet spot. I feel so blessed that this has happened to me because I know that I am lucky. My birthday is in a couple of weeks and I really wanted to be 205 by then, dont know if its possible but a girl can dream. I will try my damnest to make it happen though. I started the couch to 5k program last week and it is helping alot. I also purchased an amazing aerobic exercise program to do at night and it is tough, but Im determined to make it through. This is the best thing that I have ever done for myself!
Foodie Hell
Jul 06, 2009
Im a true foodie, always have been, and for the last few years me and me fiance travel around trying different foods, stopping at new restaurents, finding new recipes and trying them at home, throwing parties to test out our new skills on others. Even though I know that most of this will not change because now we can either just share a plate and there are so many healthy delicious recipes to follow. But because I am newly banded and have to do my full liquid then soft food diet, I am officially calling this month foodie hell! Funny thing is that this never occured to me until now. I guess days of protein shakes, water, and juice have really put food on my mind. At least when I go over to soft foods I can have fish. So Im thinking of making steamed tilapia with sweet corn soup! That and eggs will be my top priority on my first soft food day. Ughhh I cant wait until foodie hell is over!!!!!!!!

Insurance blessings

Okay so Im about a week out from surgery and I must say that I feel so lucky! Sometimes I hate my job but I am so blessed to have it! Because I am a federal employee I didnt have to jump through all the hoops to get my surgery approved all I need was a BMI over 40. NO psych appointments, NO previous diet plan required, NO seminars (even thou I did go because I need the information). I just called the doctor set my appointment for him to get my weight, etc. And a week later the nurse called me with my surgery date!!!!! Im just ranting but I just feel so blessed. So if you know any federal employees that are on the fence about getting any kind of WLS just let them know of this provision especially those with BC/BS.
