Two months and still slow going!
Jul 02, 2012
Well, it has been two months since surgery and I have only lost 31 lbs. I know that is generally good, but with WLS I was really expecting more by now. The nutritionist has asked me to up my calories to 1,000; fiber to 25; and carbs to 100 in an effort to boost my metabolism and speed up my weight loss. The first week of doing this I lost 3.8 lbs, but this week only 2. I go back to her next week so I am going to continue this until then to see where I am. May just drop back to my high protein with low carbs since I was at least averaging 3 lbs a week with that. We'll see. It is very frustrating seeing fast losers on here and people having surgery after me with a higher weight loss already at just a few weeks out. Who knows, maybe I'll just pick up after 3 months - hmmm My exercise is low/slow, but I have always hated exercising. I was one of those kids that did everything I could to get out of gym (see a patter here?) - lol. At least I can feel and see the weight loss so I'll be happy for that for now. I also can now fit comfortably in the booth at a restaurant again, which is good.
