Feeling discouraged

I just got home from a visit with my PCP.
Its been 3 years since I've been to see him, or any Dr. for that matter.
We discussed my desire for WLS and he gave me the impression that I will have a hard time getting approved for it because I haven't been coming to him on a regular basis, he doesn't have much history on me and he just didn't believe me that I have been *trying* to lose weight in the past. He wants me to see a nutritionist and I told him I will be on Dec. 5th and he kinda just wanted to leave it at that for now.
I have a feeling that this process is going to be much harder than I thought (and I was expecting it to be tough!)
