Nearly 1 Year Post-op
Nov 05, 2008
I've also been having these strong feelings lately. I didn't think it would happen this soon but it is. I'm wanting more and more to get pregnant again. I loved being pregnant the first time and just keep wanting it more and more. Oh well, we'll see what happens.
Anyway I just wanted to update while I had the chance. I know it's been a while and it gets harder and harder to do this becuase I'm so busy. Hope everyone else out there is doing great and enjoying their new lives just as much as I am.

1 Goal Attained
Apr 16, 2008
I am now officially under 200lbs. I weighed myself last night and I am 199. So it's only 1lb under but to me it's a huge accomplishment. The last time I was under 200 was back in 2000 the year I graduated. My husband has never even seen me at this weight until now. I'm wearing dresses and becoming not so self conscious about myself. I've been keeping up well with going to the gym and I feel great. Well, have to run just wanted to share my goal attained.
Loving Every Minute
Apr 06, 2008
So I went to my best friend's place in Albany this weekend. See I'm a bridesmaid in her wedding and I had to get a dress. I loved trying on all of the dresses now I've lost so much weight. It's been 4.5 months and I've lost a total of 76 lbs. Anyway the point is, while I was at her place she mentioned she had a pair of jeans that she doesn't fit into anymore, so she said she would give them to me. I told her that I probably wouldn't fit into them for another month or so and she told me to try them on anway. I fit into them perfect. They weren't too tight or too loose; just perfect!! It feels so good to be able to be in a size 16 after wearing 28's for so long. Anyway when I got back home I had some extra money left to spend so I went to Kohl's and splurged. I bought another pair of size 16 (low waist) jeans, three shirts, three pairs of sexy underwear, and a cute little naughty outfit for my husband. Thank god everything was on sale because I would have ended paying well over 300 for all of it and with the sale I only paid 150. Ok so I just had to share how excited I was that I fit into the same size pants as my best friend. Anyway I have to run. TaTa
Losing Fast
Mar 05, 2008
I know it's been a while since I've posted but I've been really busy. You all know how it gets once you've had the surgery. Anyway I'm losing faster than I thought I would. It hasn't quite been 4 months and I've lost a total of 66 lbs. Maybe some people think that's average but I didn't expect to lose that much so fast. I think it's mostly because I've been going to the gym to exercise since I was a month and half out. Right now I basically do 15 to 20 minutes on a cardio machine and then work out my legs, arms and abs on the weight machines. I never realized before how much I would like working out. Now that I'm doing it I really like it. I just feel so much more energized after I work out and I sleep a lot better. So anyway I'm down from 280 to 214. Clothes keep getting bigger by the day and I can't seem to keep up with buying them. The only problem I have is when I went to try on a new bra the other day I'm still in the same size just a different cup size. I don't mind the different cup size it's the size around that bothers me. I've lost almost 5 or more inches in my measurements but nothing around my bust area. I think it's just the extra skin. That's why I'm working my pectoral area on the machines at the gym. I'm hoping to tighten up that area so it lifts my breat a little and gets rid of some of the extra skin. Ok I have to run; gotta get back to work. Good luck to everyone having the surgery, it's the best thing in the world you could for your body.

I had a complication in the recovery room that really scared me and now I don't think I want to have another surgery. Right after I got into the recovery room they took the tube out of my throat and I tried breathing and couldn't. I wasn't getting any air and started hitting the back of my head against the bed trying to breath. The nurses yelled for the anesthesiologist and he came over and had to tip back my head and put a tube down my throat. I finally started breathing and I remember how scary it was. But now everything is fine and I'm doing good. Well I have to go. Thanks for everyones kind words and good luck to everyone.
