1 month post op

Surgery was on  1/19/2009

I arrived at 7:AM at Memorial Hospital in Modesto California
Everything went great I was able to go home the same day.

1/20/09 Memorial Hospital Staff called me at my home the instructed me to change my bandages... however the surgeon told me before I left the hospital not to worry about them until they fell off.  I decide to listen to my surgeon.

1/22/09 I went to the Emergency room I was having trouble breathing.
The staff at Doctors Hospital of manteca did some tests on me including an EKG and a CT scan.. everything seemed to be fine... just pain caused by gas.

1/23/09 My bandages are kind of soggy from getting wet in the shower.. i decide.. maybe i should change them after all...

1/24/09 I got a high fever 103 -- i didn't want to go back to the hospital because i was not too fond of the CT scan... and didn't want another one. I take tylenol and my fever goes down but i feel crappy. I use a heating pad to help with gas pains.

1/25/09  I still feel crappy .. fever comes and goes

1/26/09 I need to go to the hospital.... high fever is back... i can barely walk... everything hurts... i'm shivering... then i'm burning up... IT SUCKS!

Doctors hospital of Manteca run tests on me again.. including a CT scan they say they are showing some fluid in my stomach area.. and they think I have a hole in my stomach.. or possibly a leak. I will need to go back and have surgery again... They contact my surgeon and he transfers me to Memorial hospital of manteca.

They start an IV and say they don't know what Dr. Coirin's plan is yet.. i will probly be having surgery but not until the following day.... I don't want surgery... lol...

They start me on some antibiotics... 3 different ones. They make me vomit and i am not happy.

They decide to FINALLY check my inscisions!!!!!  ....(12 HOURS AND 2 HOSPITALS LATER)
And well... there wasn't supposed to be any bandages on them... a combination of bandages and heating pad had caused an infection....

1/29/09 I am finally released from the hospital still puking my guts out!

1/30/09 i decide to stop taking one of my antibiotics cuz it makes me sick 3x's a day.

2/13/09 I finally have my post op appointment Everything is Good infection is gone and incisions are looking Great

2/19/09  One month out... 34 pounds down (from my highest) 

2/24/09  I am at a stall....kinda.. gained 5 pounds last week but lost 4 again this week... so far no change that i can tell of... but then again... i don't weigh until next monday.

My first fill is scheduled for March 4th...
i can't wait
