Caroline, You are in my thoughts at this hard time of grief of your cat. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I have a dog that is my baby and can not image the heartache I would feel if I lost her. Just imagine Mia is in kitty heaven now, playing with all the other cats, and kittnes, and no longer in any pain. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs!

Caroline, sorry to hear about the passing of your sweet kitty, Mia. I too would be devastated to lose one of my incredible cats, I have 3! Each one more special than the other, From Buhba the Big jealousy and demands to be the only one sleeping in my bed, Houdini's appearance on my doorstep last September to his escaping my locked apartment, openning the refrigerator door and his INCREDIBLE tail wagging! ( He MUST'VE been a dog in another life!..LOL) .. to Mamma Lola's incredible likeness to a squirrel (SP?) at 3 pounds fully grown!

Caroline, I don't post much, but I read the boards everyday and yours is a face I look forward to seeing there. I just wanted to tell you that my heart goes out to you at this hard time. I too have felt the heartbreak of loosing my treasured kitty "Pork Chop." I rescued him from under a pile of boulders his mother had abandoned him under after birth. I could hear the baby crying, and finally coaxed him out. I had him for 6 years until he was diagnosed with severe and untreatable cancer. I had to make the decision to have him put to sleep, and will never forget the heartbreak as long as I live. I believe that God gives us special things in life to brighten our worlds, and my kitty did that for me. I pray that God will give you peace in this time of sorrow, and memories of your sweetie that will continue on in your heart forever. God Bless- Tonya<><

Caroline, I am so sorry about your Mia. I cried as I read about her and the poem you wrote about her. I love my Basset Hound to death and can't imagine being with out him. Please know you are in my thoughts. I truly know how hard this is for you. ((HUGS))

Oh, Caroline ... *tears* I am so sorry about the passing of your kitty Mia. I've had to put down a cat I had for almost 14 years, and it broke my heart. I have only one cat now at home, but 2 at my mothers, one of whom is 11 years old now. I tear up thinking about losing any of them. I lost one last year who did battle with a train. They become our best friends, no matter what, with unconditional love and part of our families. But maybe you can take comfort in knowing you gave her a loving and wonderful home for 13 years. Caroline, I am so sorry to learn of the death of your sweety kitty, Mia. I am so sorry. I have 8 cats myself, some old and some not so old, so I do know how you feel. I have lost 4 cats in the last two years to the dog down the road from us. Each time she gets off her chain, she comes to my yard to kill my cats!! Carolyn~ you are a grat asset to the boards, you always have good, positive information. Not to mention inspiring photos. Today was especially poignant, your right just because we CAN doesnt mean we SHOULD, this is one I need to tattoo on my eyelids, cuz at almost 19 months out, I find bad habits are becomng routine again and I need a swift kick in the arse, thank you! I'm gonna do that bike ride TODAY!
