Hello everyone, it has been awhile since my last post. Well I have been doing terrific with the weight loss and workouts. I am walking 3 miles a day and using weights also to workout. I am now down 51 pds. since surgery which was only 3 monthes ago. I am so excited and happy. Everyone tells me how great I look and that I look like a totally different person. The only one thing I am wondering is if the old skin will tighten up on its own or if I will have to have plastic surgery. My doc. seems to think that most of it will tighten up because of my age. Does anyone have any comments for me on this. I am going to post some new pictures after the holidays are all over with. Well I will go for now and will post again soon. Well I haven't posted in a few so I figured that I would let everyone know what has been going on. Well I went to the doc. on Monday over my psuedo tumor cerebri (brain tumor). This was my first appointment since surgery and this was to see if the bariatric surgery made it go away. God has answered another prayer because my doc. said he was pleased to tell me that the psuedo tumor is in remission! I have waited 5 long years to hear that. I went and seen the bariatric surgeon on Tues. and they were very pleased. I am now down 32 pounds and 7 inches off my waist since surgery. Yeppi! So I have had a fantastic week because of the great news. Well I don't want to brag but just wanted to let everyone know what was going on. Thanks to all my friends who have kept me in their thoughts and prayers. Well I will post again soon. God Bless!

Hello everyone, well it has been a couple weeks since my last post so I figured I would let everyone know how I am doing. Well I finally took all of my antibotics yesterday for my MRSA. I am a little nervous because I can only hope that it is all the way gone and won't come back. Doctor told me to just make sure that if I start feeling like the absess is coming back come see him. If I sit or stand a certain way then it feels weird but I think it could just be where they had put the drain tube in my muscle. I think that it is just healing and the process will take some time. It has only been two weeks since the tube was removed so I am hoping this is still the healing process. I am down 27 pounds and so excited. But for the last week I have not lost any weight. Does anyone know if this is normal? Well I just wanted to let everyone know how I was doing and thanks to everyone who has kept me in their thoughts and prayers. Talk to you soon. God Bless!

Hello everyone, well I went to the doctor today and he took out my drain tube. I am so excited and happy that I can feel normal again. I did find out that the infection was MRSA so he decided to keep me on antibotics for another ten days after my first script is gone. Which I am happy he did to make sure that I stay well. I have also lost 20 pounds as of today. I get to go to soft foods too! So today has so far been a really good day. I also get to start exercising again and lifting weights. Well I just wanted to let everyone know what I found out and how I was doing. Thank God for his miracles! God Bless and will talk to everyone soon.

Hello everyone, well I am back home from the hospital. Not sure why my last post wouldn't let you guys read it. Well had to be re-admitted in the hospital Saturday due to a nasty abcess of infection on my left side plus where they had my pain ball is oozing nasty infection out too. So they admitted me gave me antibotics through I.V. till Monday and then put in a drain tube. So now I have this tube hanging out of my side to let the infection drain into a bag. I am not real pleased with this but this is what has to be done. I will hopefully have the drain tube taken out on Thrursday as long as the infection is all gone. They sent me home on heavy duty antibotics and hopefully I will be healed after this. I am praying to the Lord above to take care of me and make sure I get well soon. Well I just wanted to post since I am home and let everyone know what is going on. Take care and talk to you soon.

JUST ATE FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE WLS!!!

Hello everyone, well I was a little excited because it is the first day that I have ate in 10 days. I ate 2 oz. of scrambled egg with a slice of cheese melted in it. It was actually really good but was a little scared so ate very slow and very small bites on a baby spoon. My belly is feeling fine no feeling sick thank goodness. I feel like I am getting better and starting to feel like my old self again but I had a big scare this morning. I slept on my belly for the first time last evening and woke up to the front of my shirt and my sheets being soaked. Well I had a pain ball in my belly and it was removed last Sat. but it is infected. I have been putting ointment on it since Sunday that the doctor told me to and I thought it was getting better. Well it maybe getting better still but infection poured out of it through the night. Well I am glad that it came out and didn't stay in. But it terrified me and I called my surgeon right away. He said I seem to be good other than this because no fever, vomiting, and able to be active. So he told me to continue what I am doing but wants me to start on oral antibiotic and he would see me on Tues. for my appointment. So that is what I am going to do and hopefully all infection will come out so I will get 100% back to normal. Well just wanted to give update. God Bless!

Hello everyone, well I am feeling so much better since the infection is going away. I have been putting antibotic oinment on it since Sunday 3 times a day. It looks alot better. My bariatric surgeon decided I shouldn't take the oral antibotic the regular family physicain prescribed because he said any antibotic is so hard on your new tummy. So I listened to him and things are going good again. I am walking two miles a day, getting about 60 oz. of liquid in a day, and getting all 60 grams of my protein in. I think I may of had the dumping syndrome last evening because I was told if we had it we would know. I drank 8 oz of skim milk in like half an hour while walkin a mile (it was just so good). Well that was a big mistake because I started getting belly cramps, sweating, light headed, and heart racing. Well I took a cold shower and then layed in bed for like 5 minutes and slept till 2 this morning. So I don't know but I think that maybe what it was. Well I have lost 10 pounds since Sat. so that makes me so happy and this Friday I can start pureed foods. Does anyone have any good suggestions or recipes? Well I just wanted to let everyone know how things were going. So God Bless and take care till next time.

Hello everyone, well still doing fairly well. The pain ball came out on Saturday so there is more soreness because I am not numb anymore. I had to go back to the hospital Saturday evening because I was running a fever of a 102. The doctors did some urine screens, chest x-rays, blood work, and gave me some I.V. fluids. They said everything looked good didn't think there was any kind of a leak because I was not throwing up and my bowels was working fine. So they believe I just caught a viral infection. Well slept most of the day yesterday except to walk my two miles. But I just felt like I couldn't stay awake it seemed like I was just exhausted. Last evening I noticed where I had my pain ball it was really red, swollen, and very hot. So now I know why I have been running the fever because I have a wound infection. My middle son had leg surgery to lengthen his hamstrings and he got a really bad infection so they gave him a high dose of a antibotic oinment so I used it and it looks better today and have not ran a fever since late last evening. I thank God for watching over me and making sure that I have been O.K. through this whole ordeal. If I wouldn't have trusted in the Lord I really don't think I would have actually went through the WLS. But I just had a good feeling that I would be taken care of and so far I have been. Well I just wanted to post to let everyone know how I was doing and will talk with you soon.

HOPING TO GO HOME TODAY!!

Hello everyone, well it is day three since surgery. A little more sore today than yesterday but walked three miles yesterday and two miles the day before. The staff at Clarian say that I am a firecracker that they can't get to stop. But if I walk the gas pains are not really that bad. I haven't had any pain meds. since last night at about six in the evening. So I am feeling pretty good but the only thing they say that worries them a little bit is that they still don't hear any bowel sounds. But they say that everyone is different and sometimes it is a couple of weeks sometimes before the bowels start to work. I hope that there isn't nothing wrong there but I just keep praying to God that he will take care of me and not let me have any complications. They have me up to 90cc of liquid but it takes me awhile to get that much down because it makes my tummy so full. But I am on a full liquid diet and I love the Isopure and Instant Carnation Breakfasts. Well I just wanted to let everyone know how I was doing so I will get back on in a few days and post again. Thanks to everyone who has left me support and who has kept me in their prayers and thoughts.
