Congrats on the upcoming surgery and well wishes to you during your recovery. My surgery is the 15th and my family is asking the same questions - but my mind is made up. I want a healthier life and more active -- I have a friend that is supportive although she reminds me that this is 'optional surgery'. I finally told her that it wasn't for my health. She now supports me. So, I can totally relate to the comments made - but keep your chin up and smile == your moving to the 'losing side'...
