Hey Debra, good luck with your upcoming surgery!!!! I know you are going through all kinds of feelings right now but you are doing the right thing. Hang in there and keep your chin up. You will be so proud of yourself once you do this for YOU. Sometimes we have to put ourselves first and for many of us overweight people that is a hard thing to do. I know that from personal experience. My surgery will be August 13th so I understand all the anxiety you are feeling right now. Know that many people will be here praying for you and you will come through just fine. Your AMOS friend, Jackie Gilley

Hi there, It is normal to be getting really scared right now......in other words IT'S OKAY, IT WILL BE ALRIGHT. I am almost 3 weeks post-op from open rny, and I feel great! Of course I was nervous going in, of course shortly afterwards you are thinking "what have I decided to do to myself", but today I have no regrets. I am only down 20 lbs so far, but I feel wonderful and would do it all over again. Good luck to you for a complication free surgery and speedy recovery! See you on the losing side. God Bless!!

Debra, Just wanted to let you know that you are on my mind and in my prayers. I know everything will be fine and you will be happy you made this decision. It is normal to be nervous. Don't let your family get to you. You will one day tell them "I told you so". God bless you.

Hi Deb, just wanted you to know that there are a lot of us who do care about you and think you are doing the best thing for yourself. Unless you have been there like us you just don't understand how we feel There is so much weight to loose it would take forever with the conventional diets. Not to mention that if diets worked for us we wouldn't have gotten this heavy. Your family will come around when they see how good you feel later. Hang in there. I'm going Aug 1, and am a little nervous about it, but also know this is the only answer for me. Feel free to email me any time I will answer and understand. God Bless You
