Debra, Congrats to you...what a way to begin your summer...by the end of the season you will notice a big difference in the way that you feel and the way that you look. As far as the pain goes, I have to be honest and tell you that I was more then lucky. I had NO pain,,,some slight feelings of discomfort but that was all. Each of us have varying levels of pain threshold but you will have medications to help ease the pain. I have never given birth but some women have equated the surgical pain with that of childbirth...you forget about it in a very short time. Just keep the nurses on their toes and you will have meds to come home with. Use them as often as you need to and you will begin that road to a better way of life very soon. Good luck to you! HI DEB, I THINK WE MAY BE IN THE SAME BOAT. MY HUBBY ISN'T TO SUPPORIVE EITHER & MY KIDS, I HAVEN'T TOLD THEM, MY OLDEST IS 12. SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT THE NO SUPPORT THING FROM YOUR FAMILY. MY HUSBAND LAUGHED WHEN I MENTIONED IT TO HIM & ASKED WHY. WHEN I SAID TO IMPROVE MY HEALTH HE SAID YEA RIGHT, BUT HE DOSEN'T KNOW WHAT I KNOW. I'm so sorry you have no family support for your decision, just remember that you have plenty of support here. I am sending lots of warm wishes and prayers your way for an uneventful surgery and a pain-free recovery, as well as for your closest family to change their hearts and support your decision. They are probably afraid of losing you.

I've kept up with your posts, I have prayed for you. I know you've had a rough time emotionally, but you can do this and you can accomplish your goals. Thrilled to see you have an official angel, but you've got so many more angels that you can't see, both here on earth and surrounding you always that you can't see. I did this with little to no support, travelled to a city by myself. I WANTED this and if I can do it, so can YOU! Have confidence and faith in yourself, and keep reaching out, we're here to take your hand and reach back when needed. I continue to keep you in my prayers. Greetings AMOS family! Debra has honored me by allowing me to be her angel. She is a very sweet and gentle lady whose only support is her AMOS family.
