I made it home

May 26, 2010

I wanted to share with you that I am home and doing well. The Surgery went well and as planned, the first night I spent in ICU, they were concerned about my breathing and blood pressure but neither posed a problem so I got my regular room the second night. I remember taking a lot of pain meds and being awoken every thirty minutes to be poked, tested, or just woken to find out how I felt. LOL   I have seven portholes in my belly with two with drain tubes, I will have the tubes taken out on next Tuesday so no Memorial Day walks on the beach for me, I am thankful that my Dad was able to give me a ride home since he drives a full size truck and I did not have try to fold in half to get into my wife's Toyota car.   I am drinking water flavored with kool-aid or jello (ice cubes) 4 oz every thirty minutes and having chewable vitamins, jello cups, and popsicle sticks, every four or five hours after my pain meds wear off. I am thankful to God of NO COMPLICATIONS thus far and everything has been exactly as planned.
Praise God!
