apparently i can spell "subclinical hyperparathyroidism" but not "verdict" (see previous post).

dexa bone scan scheduled for this coming Monday.  That's a simple procedure that will asses the state of my bone density and propensity to osteoperosis (which could have been complicated by hyperparathyroidism, which will cause calcium to be drawn from the bones).  I think it measures the diameter of my bones.  I hope they are ok, i tend to assume the positive, and i actually would rather know than not.

after that, appt with surgeon will be scheduled for first consult to remove the malfunctioning gland(s).
