Good Morning Oh'ers,Yesterday i had my upper Gi procedure.BOY oh BOY,It was something for the history books i tell you.My appointment was for 1:30 but i got there around 12:15 they asked that i be there an hour earl for registration and prep.So i got there and everything seem to be taking forever which only made me nervous.So finally i was called into the prep room and the asked me some information,Made me change into a hospital gown and sock.Took my blood pressure(166/99) that's was all nerves.Then my Dr came in and we went over some stuff then the anesthesiologist came and told me about the sleepy meds.So i walked over to the room and everything was already in there.So i got my iv and had the blood pressure cuff put on me,When i look up at the monitor my pressure was 220/103.Then they sprayed my mouth with that nasty numbing stuff in my mouth and had me turn to my left side and the procedure was on the way,As soon as my Dr started putting the tube down my throat i started gagging.I was conscious the whole time but because i was numb i couldn't move,I do remember reach my hands up to grab at the tub to make them stop because it was so bad,I kept on gagging and feeling myself wanting to throw up.All they did was grab my hands and put them back to my side.It seem like it was going on forever but it only lasted about 5 minutes if that.Next thing i know i was being wheeled to recovery and my Dr came over and told me that everything look perfect and that i was cleared,That he would sent the results over to my surgeon office and that was it.I was in recovery for about 20 minutes and then i got some paper work for discharge and i was on my way.The one cool thing about the whole thing was that i got pictures of my inside which i thought was awesome.So the next thing on my to do list is my appointment with the new pcp,I'm really praying that he will work with me but i will cross that bridge when i get there .Until next time everyone enjoy the rest of your day.Congrats to all the new loser...-Everchanging-
