Dear Gar~~~~I hope you are feeling better since I last heard from you in the hospital. I haven't seen a post from you in a couple of days. I hope that you and your beloved furried ones are as far away from those fires as you can be in Colorado. Be well, be happy, be blessed.

Dearest Gar, I had no idea! I am so sorry! I haven't been checking the board lately and I was SO shocked to see that you've been experiencing problems! You may not know this, but my post-op life was nothing but problems! The first 2 months were nothing but HELL! Now, I'm fine and so glad I had the surgery! I feel the need to tell you this because I know how hard it is to keep your spirits up...you'll make it! You've been so wonderful and helpful to everyone from day 1! You're so loved and we all appreciate your presence so much! Please please email me if you need anything---until then I'll be praying non-stop for you! Keep your chins up while you still have them! You're beautiful!

Gar- I am praying and keeping my fingers crossed that you will keep all of your fluids down today so that they can release you. I am praying for a speedy and healthy recovery. Take care! :)

Keep your fingers crossed for me. It looks like the mystery has been solved. I have been out of the hospital a week now, but back twice to the ER for fluids and anti-nausea meds. I just haven't been able to keep anything down and have been incredibly weak. Yesterday I called the surgeon's office again. The on-call surgeon said I needed to take some Pepto-Bismal in addition to the Phenergan.
Well, it tastes awful and it's amazing to me that anything that turns to cement (smile) in the little dispenser cup can be helpful. However, I have not thrown up anything in 24 hours and am this morning finally getting down some CIB with a little banana since my potassium levels have also been down. They've given me potassium supps, but they are 1000 times worse than anything else, so I'm just trying to get some in via food.
I'm going to try some tomato juice again this pm since it tasted pretty good the other day. Anyway, I'm still weak, but I'm very hopeful that getting some actuall nutrition into me will be helpful. Thank you again for all your well wishes. I'm going to try to send some messages out today. You all are the GREATEST!
