Feeling better, but...
Dec 12, 2008
...the 1200 calorie a day diet is not something I've been taking seriously. I have been seeing a therapist for a few months now for different issues in my life and recently we've been talking about food addictions. This is definitely me! I know that the holidays are contributing to my eating problem so hopefully after the new year I can get back on track.
My husband came home for the Thanksgiving holiday and left again on Dec 1st. He'll be home today YAYAYAY! My daughter is officially potty trained! I'm so proud of her...once she got it, she got it! She even sleeps without pullups and has not yet had the first overnight accident *Knock on wood* LOL
My 7 month old is now sitting up really good and is starting to scoot on his butt! It's so cute!
The anti-depressents my dr Rx'd have been working wonders! Now if I can just get this pesky eating habit changed we'll be doing good! I don't want anything messing me up to have this surgery or afterwards for that matter!!!!
I'm really excited about Christmas! My son's first! First Christmas's are always fun!
Oh yea...I almost forgot...I've decided on the Lap Band instead of the RNY. I have extensively researched both surgeries and I think the LB is the best choice for me! Ya'll keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I make this journey.

Thru the roof!
Nov 14, 2008
My husband has been out of town with work for the last few weeks and won't be home til next week and I think I'm going CrAzY! My two year old is potty training and is smack in the middle of her terrible twos!! I also have a 6 month old son that takes up alot of my time too. So to say I'm stressed may be an understatement!
Anyways, I went to see my PCP and he put me on a 1200 calorie diet to try out. Also, he Rx'd me wellbutrin for my anxiety problem and some mobic for my back. Hopefully the wellbutrin will give me some energy too he said so that will be wonderful because I have been dragging lately.
I called and made my appointment with Dr. Weinstein who I last seen in 2005. It isn't until the end of next month so I'll keep you guys posted!
If I am able to have the surgery after my 6 month visits we're hopefully looking at sometime around May 2009!
God Bless,
Brandi
Family Doctor Visit
Oct 17, 2008
About 2 months ago I visited my family doc about some severe back pain I was experiencing since giving birth to Dylan. He told me my sciatic (s?) nerve was being pinched, gave me a shot and a Rx, had an x-ray taken, and sent me home. I never heard anything else about it. I recently started having those pains again topped with dizziness and what I supposed was high blood pressure. I also made the appointment to talk about having the WLS. When he came in he asked me what was wrong and I told him. He proceeded to tell me that the x-ray I had taken showed that my backbone was deteriorating. I was shocked! I hadn't realized it had gotten that bad! I also told me that I'm suffering from Vertigo and that my blood pressure was in fact elevated! When I mentioned the surgery he said he didn't normally condone it but that if I didn't get it this situation would only get worse.
See, my insurance won't approve me without having a 6 month supervised diet with my PCP. I'm very excited that he ok'd the 6 month visits for it!! That's one step further in the right way to get my surgery done! Ya'll be praying for me!
Starting over (Take two)

Starting Over!! :(
Mar 23, 2007
Long story short...I'm starting over! I went thru what I thought was the correct procedures, but when I thought I was at the end and was going to be approved for the surgery...I got denied. I found out that I didn't do the 6 month thing w/my PCP consecutively (s?) that I didn't qualify! :( But I also think that things do happen for a reason. In Sept 05 I found out I was pregnant and I had a beautiful baby girl on April 13, 2006. So here I am...happy in my life but miserable w/my weight! But I do believe that I have the strength to start over!
