¿Usted consiguió el número de la placa de la licencia de ese carro? Just ask Rene this whenever you feel in a great deal of pain/discomfort and he should laugh. (Translation: "Did you get the license plate number of that truck?") It does get better and better, Lori ... Manage a grimace thru the early days out but deep inside know in a few months you'll be skipping ... and running ... and dancing ... and smiling the entire time. Congrats, Switch Sister ... and have a safe trip home. Love & Hugs & Kisses

Per Lori on the Dr. Ungson Yahoo support group. Day 3: "Got rid of the first male nurse,Raul, to be replaced with another male nurse, Rene. I thought "not again." Well Rene was quite a change. Very attentive to my needs, walked with me, rubbed my back, helped me in and out of the chair and bathroom - all modesty out the window at this point. He apologized when he had to give me shots and even rubbed my feet at bed time. He offered to help me at the hotel if needed. I told him Dr. U had arranged Erika. Only saw her once yesterday for about 5 minutes. In alot of pain in the diaphragm area from the cutting. Dr. U gave me some new pain meds that put me out for 2 hours this morning. He also said I have to have a leak test today- he says it won't be fun. Have to drink some nasty tasting stuff. I just hope I don't barf. Have a lot of phlegm and it hurts trying to breathe and cough. They just gave me a nebulizer to help loosen all up. Anxiously waiting for the "gas" to arrive. Everyone keeps asking me and no progress there so far although I have bowel sounds. So thats all the fun I am having at the moment."

HI LORI, Wow, I cannot believe with ALL that you are going through that you are even able to POST! I am hoping and praying for the rest of your recovery will be MUCH BETTER for you. SURE DO HOPE you let your doctor know about the ineptness of that male nurse! LOUDLY that is! ! ! Lord-willing, it will prevent him from causing anyone else the same as he has you. Take comfort in knowing that MANY PEOPLE are praying for you. GOD BLESS YOU...Bye for now...ANGIE W.
