Ready for change!
Apr 30, 2009
I've been on this site for a little while now and love reading through everyone stories of success and vieing their Before & After Photos. So, I figured I should be an active member and particpate - and someday hopefully very soon I, too, willbe an inspiration to someone else. So here goes...I've been considering this surgery for about three years now. I've done a considerable amount of research and have decided that the laproscopic gastric bypass surgery is best suited for me. I weighed in at 256 today at the doctors office. This is by no means my all time highest weight..however very close. I have successfuly slid up and down the scale with a range of 100 lbs 3 times over the past three years. I've heard many people say that hte gastric by-pass is too permanent. I dont understand this statement at all- simply in that I want a permanent surgery. I don't want something that is reversible at all.
I have my first appointment on May 6th at the Hospital at the University of Pennsylvania. Should be about a 3-4 hour appointment that will get several of the tests out of the way. Very excited!
Well that is all for now!
