Almost 2 weeks out...

Aug 18, 2009

This has been quite the journey.  The first week was a bit rough but hey, no pain no gain.  Gotta scarifice something, right?  I am pretty much healed now... a little concerned at how bad the scarring will be. But I figure I'll worry about this later down the road.

I had surgery on Aug 6th.  11 dayslater, I am down 20lbs.  Wooohooo!!   My only concern is that I hit the 20lbs marker about 5 days ago.  So I seem to be holding the weight I am at.  Is this normal in the beginning?  for some reson I thought that it was a continuous downward progression of weightloss.

Has anyone xperience this sort of plateau?  I am getting my fluids, most of my protein ( this part could use some work) , and I have begun to go on short walks.  For some reason in the back of my mind I keep thinking.. what if this doesnt work ess for me? But how can it not, logisticlaly speaking?  I get full with little food.  However I have noticed that I am able to drink more in a less time than the doctors and dieticians said I would be able to.  For instance I drank a SB Vivanno smoothie with carnation instant breakfast- (28 grams of protein-yay!)  in a little over an hour.  Its about 12 oz!   I did not feel pain, or nausea, and did not throw up! Is this normal? ahh...freaking out a little as I write this!

Thank you all for your support and advice!  It really helps me get through the day knowing you guys are here to support me!
