12-03-06 Well , I am still alive, that is good...

Well, there is so much to say, where do I start, first of all everything was going great until sat nov 25th and I had to go to the emergency room for a fever of 102.5. It just all of a sudden showed up. Turns out I had a gallbladder infection. I have multiple gall stones. I was in the hospital until tuesday the 28th. I was allowed to come home in hopes of the infection totally clearing up and then I will go back in few weeks to have surgery to have the gallstones or my whole gall bladder removed. Not sure which. I came home keeping everything down and within 24 hours was throwing up everything. did this for almost 48 hours, almost had to go back to hospital, but was able to stay home. I just today have taken in more than flavored water and it is staying down. Praise god. So that is my story, however, I am losing weight, not exactly the way I figured it would happen though, but I have lost 58lbs. So that is cool. I will be at one month on the 6th and plan on taking some new pictures of myself to add to my page at that time. Well wishes to everyone. Thanks for all your support, sorry for the long absence without an update.

Is my liver going to cooperate? Hope so because on this calorie depletion diet, I am down already 22 lbs. I lose 3-5 lbs every day. It is wild. but like my husband just said, it is easy to do when you are not eating.
Last night we had my oldest birthday party and at the place it was they have the ABSOLUTELY BEST PIZZA. So, boy was that hard. It took alot of determination to stay away. But it was not too bad. Just trying to keep my eye on the goal line. Different members of my family last night said, well if you can lose this kind of weight on a diet why would you need or want to get surgery, uh, yah, they just do not get it....
However, I know you all totally understand, and luckily for me so does my DH, he is so totally supportive it is amazing. Everyone's husband should be as great as he is. I am very lucky and I try to let him know how fortunate I am as much as humanly possible.
Well toodles for now, cant wait for the nervousness to set in tomorrow afternoon. :(

I got home from the hospital Halloween night. The surgery did not go well. The best way to describe it is to say that he was only able to half complete it. Apparently I have an enlarged liver. So enlarged infact that it is 10 times the size it should be. The doctor said that maybe it is just going to take longer to shrink mine because of the fact that I am a diabetic. He did try very hard to complete it. So hard that I have 11 laproscopic holes in my tummy as opposed to the 6 I was expected to have after a successful surgery. All of which are closed with approximately 30 staples I might add. He said if he would have tried to open me up and complete it that way that because of the size of my liver, there would have been a great chance of him cutting my liver and then I would have bled to death. So I am doing a "Total Calorie Depletion" diet til Monday when I am scheduled for surgery again, this time at 830am(have to be there at 630am). He says either he will or he wont be able to do this on monday. So we will see. I am praying VERY HARD, that it does happen. I want this so bad. I am trying to stay positive. It is very very hard. My family is being very supportive. Oh, and in case you are wandering what a total calorie depletion diet is, it is a no sugar, all liquid, less than 200 calorie a day diet. I am trying so hard that today alone, I have only had 30 calories. Of course it is a little easier not to eat when your belly is this sore. So that is the story.
