13 Weeks out, Down 89 pounds. So glad I had the surgery so I can go riding again. This is Jackson's Abit Wild, aka Jackie.

I've been doing very well.  Well since last Monday, I was very sore, not much pain, didn't sleep at all Monday night in the hospital.

I came home Tuesday afternoon, still very sore still not much pain, didn't sleep much that night. Still haven't had anything to eat at this point.

Wed-(2 days post-op), I got up and felt like someone had kicked from the inside out, so sore, every muscle in my body ached. still no "pain". I made me less than a 1/4 cup of broth and drank that, that was more than I wanted. Lived off Popsicles for 3 days. Sleep alittle better this night. Slept for 4 hours, got up for 3, and went back to bed for 3.

Thursday-(3 days post-op), not much change, the soreness is starting to go away. Can't stand the thought of broth, aint no way I'm going to drink anymore. And remember, I only had less than 1/4 cup all week. Just can't do it. Slept almost all night this night. Its getting better.

Friday-(4 days post-op), I woke up feeling great. no pain at all, very little soreness. I can start my all liquids now. (I'm a happy boy!!) Got out and walked up and down the street in front the house. Took it slow to be on the safe side. worked the rest of the soreness out. Slept pretty good that night.

Sat-(5 days post-op), I was a new person . No pain, no soreness. Felt GREAT!!! Got out and walked around my neighborhood. ( about 3/4 of a mile). No problems, not winded, not tired. Went to Wal-Mart,Teeter and Goodwill to buy me another pair of pants with DeAnna(my wife). Still feeling great. Got home and walked another lap around the block. No problems. Slept good that night!

Sunday-(6 days post-op), Went to church, took Logan to a birthday party. Feeling like I never had surgery. Everything is going great now. Watched the Giants win. ( Didn't like either team) So that didn't matter too much.

Monday-(7 days post-op), Went to get staples out, feeling wonderful!! Down 16 pounds since pre op. It's starting to come off now.
 
Tuesday-(8 days post op), Feel like a new man!! Got out of the house for most of the day. Just went where ever. Had another Dr.s appointment with my family Dr.. Everything is good!!

So that's what "I" went through my first week. I can only pray that it stays this way, because it started out alittle rough, but It got better quick. I can only thank the LORD for for His healing hand and His guidance through this whole ordeal.

Time for update..... I had surgery on Monday (1/30/2012). Everything went very well (just real sore). No problems while in the hospital,( passed all my test-blood, leak, etc..)  came home Tuesday afternoon. Didn't get alot of sleep till Wednesday night. As each day goes by, I feel better and better. Today (Thursday) I feel pretty good. Still alittle sore but not bad. I have had very little pain at all. I think I have taken 2 doses of pain med. since I have been home. Thank you Lord. I did have some blood in my bowels that I called the Dr. about. They said it was normal, which I thought it was, just wanted to double check with them. Still on clear liquids till tomorrow. Really getting tired of broth. But I'll make it.  I will post again later, God Bless

My surgery is tomorrow, need to be at the hospital at 5:30am and surgery scheduled for 7:15am. Started my clear liquids this morning and as of this morning I weighed in at 268.8.

Ok.... 5 days to go till my date. Starting to to get butterflies now. My biggest weight is 304, First day at Dr.s office was 289, and as of Thursday the 19th, I was at 270. So excited and nervous at the same time, It's the weirdest feeling. But I am ready to start my new life and I can't wait to see the new me!!   I'm going to be a loser!!! haha  Thanks to everyone on here who have commented or have gave positive feed back. You are all part of my family now.  I will post more comments  as I progress through my journey. God bless each of you!
