Hello everyone! My name is Kandis. I've been a member of this site for a while but never did a blog. I never really considered wls until recently.  My hubby and I have Kaiser Hmo and I read somewhere you have to have had the insurance for a year before they consider approving wls. I don't know if that's true or not.
In May, I cut my calories to 1400 and exercised every other day. I had lost 8lbs. I currently weigh 278. It was hard! I went off the diet for 2 days and it seemed all the weight came back. 30 freakin days to lose and 2 to gain it back?
I watched all those weight lose shows and nearly cried on every episode of Biggest Loser. I always thought-dang! I wish I could lose 20 lbs in a week. It seemed like I would tell myself that this would be the year. I've been telling myself that since I was 13. I'm 35. Believe me, I have tried almost every diet known to woman, man, rabbit, whatever.
So, now I have decided to talk to my PCP about wls. I'm leaning towards the Lap-Band but will take what they can give me. I have been researching and scouring the net for info on the types on wls. We'll see what she has to say.
I am excited to start this journey and read about others on this site.
