Happy Holidays Everyone!!!! I have really been on my insurance company trying to check on my status. I was informed on Friday that they have approved my doctor and will cover the surgery as an in-network procedure as long as the surgery is approved. I am happy for any good news I can get right now. I am now just praying that I get approved for the gastric bypass. My new friend on here told me that 2009 is going to be my year and I am claiming that!!!!  The decision is pending right now so hopefully I will here some GOOD news very soon!!!  Everyone stay blessed and remember always KEEP THE FAITH

Ok I haven't written in forever... I've been trying to get the surgery done since Jan. 2008. I've done everything that was asked of me and still my insurance company has told me NO!! I am insureed with Aetna and they require you to see your doctor for 3 consecutive months before they approve your surgery. I did it and when it was submitted Aetna said that I only did 2 1/2. I cried when I was told the news. We did several appeals, but still the same answer. Now I started te process all over again in September 2008. I finished my three months in November and my paper work has been submitted again. Now thwy are telling my that my doctor isn't in network and they are taking there time to approve his precertification. I am just praying that everything will work out for me this time. I am so ready to get things started. This has been a very challenging year for me. I've been really down on myself because it just doesn't seem to be working out. I am really going to have to "KEEP THE FAITH" to get through this one. How knew by choosing that user name almost a year ago I would have to pull from it for strength today.  

Hello, this is my first time posting a message. I am in the process of trying to get approved for surgery. I have insurance with Aetna and they require you to go through a 3 month process before they will look at your case. My last appointments will be on April 16th!!!
