Wendi, 48lbs in 7 weeks is a tremendous loss! Your body is now resting (plateau) and adjusting (losing inches). Just stick to your plan and all will be well. Now is the time to do your measurements. Plateaus are when you lose the most inches! Keep up the great work, you are doing terrific!

I really believe we have selected memory. When my surgery was so easy, I thought that everyone but me seems to have had a really hard time and that people rarely posted that everything went well. All I could remember was that most people had post op problems, so maybe I didn't really have the right surgery. Glad to hear you are on the mend.

Hello to all from the losing side. I just wanted to thank all of you for posting to my surgery page while I was in the hospital. I have done a major update to my profile about my surgery experience. If you are interested please stop by and check it out. I am a little over a week post op now. I had my surgery on Thursday 9/19 because of a scheduling error at Pacific Bariatric. I wont bore any of you with drama but I have posted it all to my profile update. At 6 days out I have lost 10 pounds. I still feel really bad but I think I may be starting to turn the corner. I promise to write back to all of you who have posted to my page as soon as my strength is back to normal. Until next time. Wendi

Wendi, glad to hear that you have had your surgery and have been released from Scripps. How did they treat you? When my husband and I were there we had great treatment by the nursing staff. Do not let your spirits get down. It took us about 4 mos to get back to feeling like ourselves again. The depression lasts for a while as the anesthesia wears off. You are going to do just fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep posting and let us all know how you are doing, we are all very interested in your progress.
