Ok it's getting closer.  Two weeks before I leave for surgery, leaving july 26 and surgery on july 27.  Going to Dominican Republic for my surgery with Global Medical Surgery Center.  I have mixed feelings--nervous, anxious, happy, scared, etc. but I have read so many wonderful things on the web site and forum and I know I'm ready  I have only told a few people at this point because Just mentioning it I pretty much got the ARE YOU CRAZY  and then the part about going out of the US--wweeeelllllll we wont mention that conversation.  But i did my research and I'm comfortable with what I'm doing.  Did tell my Mother and naturally she is still very nervous about it and is insisting on going with me, I was going to go alone.  So we leave in 2 weeks.  So now I have 2 weeks of  "Are you sure about this?" and question after question, etc.  I will be so excited to tell all my friends and coworkers when I get back but for now don't want the negativity.    Thanks to everyone here for being along for the ride--could not have done this without you all!!
