They finally got the Psych report and are submitting everything to HealthNet today!  YAY!!!

She said to call back on Friday or Monday for status.

Left a message on Friday and sent emails today, still no word on insurance.  I'm going to cry!

Called the Dr's office to see what the protocol was on the approvals and whatnot... she said that they've only rec'd the Nut report and not the psych yet but expects it today.  Then they'll submit and wait a couple days and they'll let the office know, then they'll tell me.

I can't stand this!!!

Surgery is 1 MONTH away!!!

Got an email reply today that they haven't rec'd anything yet from the Doctor.  Grrrrrr. 

I can't stand this waiting to hear if I'm approved or not, it's driving me INSANE!!!   

The Psych exam was kinda funny actually, lol  but he did "pass" me for the surgery and said I was doing the right thing and that diets just don't work.  He was pretty cool.  :)

And I absolutely LOVE my Nut!!  She is the coolest person, and it was finally nice to meet her in person.  I got a lot of info from her and she was glad to see I'd done my homework.  Gave me a straight shot on what to do pre and port-op.  I was getting really confused by this board and everyone's opinions.  Now I feel grounded.  :)

Now it's the waiting game to see if I get approved by insurance, and this part is going to kill me, lol

Still waiting on the Dummies book, got a BAD seller on Amazon and they're taking their sweet time... maybe I'll complain about them again.  Jerks!!

FINALLY the day is coming Monday!!

I'm really really scared that they will want me to do the 6 month supervised diet thing, per my insurance.  The Dr. didn't seem too concerned or really even mention it.  So we'll see.  I'm a bit nervous about the Psych appt too, I'm not sure what they will ask but I am always nervous around Doctors and tend to cry, then they'll think I'm a nutjob and deny me, lol  ;)

I have been eating like shit lately and feel like crap.  I want to wait to talk to the Nut to get a better grip on what I will need to be eating pre and post op.  Right now, I'm floundering or trying to eat everything before the big day *sigh*  I'm a self sabotager and I need to learn not to do that.  I wish I could find a good book on how to control those urges.

Anyway, that's me at this moment.

We somehow ended up watching the mid-tail end of this BBC documentary last night and it was pretty eye-opening.

It was shocking and interesting at the same time, the breakdown of these women.. what starvation will do to a soul.  These women were falling apart.  Mentally and Physically to acheive "model" status.

OMG I am just ecstatic right now, I can hardly breathe!!!

I was watering the turtles just now and thought I'd water under the neighbors deck via our side yard through the lattice (where we thought she went) and low and behold I see a head looking at me!! I was so scared to move in case she ran off, I'd never get her!!! So slowly I yanked the lattice off the fence and she walked right towards me!!!!!

I put her in the pond slowly and she took off swimming and is currently eating. She's very light and seems very sluggish, but she looks ok.. her fat pads on her head are gone but she's been gone over a week now!

OMG I cannot believe it, I thought I'd never see her again. I am so freaking happy!!! That fence is getting covered ASAP!

There IS hope!!!!!
