Momma Angel, You are beautiful! Thank you for looking after me and so many others on this site. You keep up the good fight and never give in! I pray that your obsticles are removed and you become healthier. You must fight for what is right. I pray that you can get Medicaid to change thier policy. Stay positive and I will pray so hard for you. Take care and I will post on how all went when I come home from Hospital.

Thank you for your kind words! I do think this is the best choice i could make for my life! I hope some doors open for you to get your surgery. Here in FL there are some state programs and hosp. programs to help with cost depending on income. You have to look high and low to find them but programs are out there! GOOD LUCK! Thank you again!

Momma Angel - Thank you so much for your kind words and your encouragement! I pray that your path towards bariatric surgery clears up. We all face our own obstacles, but be persistant...there is light at that end of this tunnel.. a healthier, happier light! God Bless.

Momma Angel, thank you so very much for your kind words. I am new to this site and have been reading your messages that are always so kind, I thought that you had had your surgery. I pray that GOD will remove all stumbling blocks out of your path and that your approval and surgery date will be very soon. You will not be forgotten, and I will keep you in my prayers.

Thank you for my posting. As I can see by your profile, you are a very popular person. I am just getting the hang of this website and assumed you already had your surgery. I was wrong. I pray to have surgery and begin my new life, but I pray more for you to have your surgery. You've been battling this for a long time, but you must keep faith that this will happen for you. My prayers are with you. :)

Hello, thank you for your kind words. I am so sorry Medicare is giving you problems. As a Social Worker, I can tell you there are ways to fight the system and work around that fee!!! If you contact Medicare and explain your situation and right a letter requesting they waive the fee on the basis of fixed income, they might...It's worth a shot. Also, many hospitals and associated Doctor's offices have patient assistance funding which is money set aside to absord the costs of medical bills for people on limited and fixed incomes...Finally, call your local social service agency and health clinics. Some will put up money to help pay medical expenses...If it doesn't work in Michigan, here in Cincinnati @ University Hospital, one of my client's had this surgery while on Medicare and paid nothing out of pocket...It's worth looking into if you need it done. Good luck and thank you for your kind words.
