The prayers are very thoughtful and appreciated. Positive thoughts will be sent your way as well. Your story is a hard one and I am sure it will make you stronger. From what I have read you are a strong woman in your own right, you just have a hard time realizing it sometimes. I wish you the oppritunity that you desire and all goes he way you need for it too.

Dearest Momma Angel, First I want to thank you (as I struggle to write this with tears streaming down my face)for having posted a message to me. WOW! How surprised I was as I have been a member of this websit for a while now and YOURS tonight is the first well wish I have received. I post messages to others and update my info as I get it so Iwas feeling abit lonely to say the least. Now YOU alone have made that all go away and I thank you for it. I am just wondering if maybe i have been doing something wrong...I don't know but I do know that tonight my prayers were answered by you showing me your support..Thank you Momma, you really are an ANGEL!! NOW PLEASE PLEASE LISTEN TO THIS OK? I-like you live in Michigan but in the UP. I-like you am on Medicare. I also have been VERY sick over the years. I always thought I could lose the weight myself..And actually..I did. When I make up my mind I am very dedicated..The problem came in due to frustration at having to still lose 2-300lbs AFTER I had already lost 125. So I finally made up my mind after 15-20 years of reasearching this that absolutely must give myself one more chance at LIVING so ok....here I am..and like you I have had nothing but problems here in Michigan with insurance, co-pays etc. Then I FINALLY found a WLS in Warren Mich. that agreed to do the surgery...until they found out that my BMI was 83.5. The only accepted people up to a bmi of 70. Anyway long story short and 12 WLS Centers later, I FINALLY found the CENTER FOR THE SURGICAL TREATMENT OF OBESITY in Cal. They DO accept Medicare and they will take you too if you meet all the criteria etc. My caseworker told me that our Mich. MEDICAID would help with the portion that medicare does not pay and also traveling expenses provided they received proof that I could NOT get the same care here in MI.!! I am not one to mooch and I hate being on SSI but I decided I had to swallow my pride and let them help me so that one day I could finally hold down a job and no longer depend on the GOV. for help and support..There is something to be said for total independance! Anyway Momma..PLEASE if you are still wanting this surgery...call them first thing tomorrow or E-mail them at CSTOBESITY.COM. They have been wonderful to me and I am sure they will bend over backward to help you. Understand...I am in NO WAY advising you to get this surgery..I am ONLY providing you with the sharing of what I have learned and maybe you will get something good from it too. Please e-mail me whenever you want at [email protected] but be sure to put the WLS letters in the subject matter or I wont open it..or just post it on my message board. I will check it everyday now that I got SO lucky and heard from you! I look Forward to hearing from you and I pray this helps...Maybe we can go to California together!! Love, Hally Sue

Hi Momma, I just wanted to say that I think it's wonderful that you post surgery pages! You're truly an angel. Personally, I feel that if someone doesn't want us to post well wishes, then they shouldn't post their surgery date, I for one am very thankful for all the support I receive my from AMOS brothers and sister. Momma Angel - You're loved and appreciated - don't ever doubt it! What you've dedicated yourself and your time to - raising support for those on this site - is a beautiful and worthwhile thing. Religious differences, privacy preferences, typing strictures, all that aside, no one can dispute that your intentions are good and pure, and that people BENEFIT from having you in their world and on their side! *hug*

Dear Momma Angel I am so upset that someone took a low blow at your kindness. It is a pity that some people do not have as big a heart as they had a mouth - it would only be a fool who could not or would not see that what you are doing, by the kindness of your heart, is a blessing to this board. Paula, One bad apple and all that... You keep doing what you do honey... So many people rely on you and the support that you generate. Personally, I can't imagine anyone having anything critical to say to you or about you. <p> LORD BLESS!!!!!

Hi Momma Angel. I just logged on for the first time after my surgery to find out how you were doing and was devastated to hear that you had been hospitalized. I hope that you're feeling better now. My prayers and thoughts are always with you. Please take care of yourself.
