Its been a while since I have been on Oh. On Dec 02, they fixed my hernia. It was an open procedure and they found a second smaller one. I stayed with my mother-in-law for a week and a half. I think that helped speed up my recovery, she had a great recliner and one of those adjustable beds. I was released to go back to work on the 16th as my job is a sit down one and I was released to go back to my second job on the 22nd. Boy could I have milked it for time off if I wanted to since the total recovery time is 6 weeks, this not picking up anything more then 4 lbs sucks.

Its been a rough couple of months at work 2 of us have spend a weekend in the hospital and also had several weeks off from work. We lost an officer, we buried him on Dec 17th, he was 29, he decided to end his own life with his service weapon. None of us at work know why. I feel bad for his family, he left a 2 yr daughter and his mother behind with no benefits. He did the ultimate selfish act and none of us at work knew he was hurting. We are short by 6 officers and one dispatcher, and in a small department it makes it difficult. One of our dispatchers will be out sometime in Jan for a surgical procedure and our boss baby is due the end of Feb so she will be gone for 9 weeks. I not looking forward to being in charge.
