Still waiting to hear from HR. When I call all I get is "it is still in review". This is sooooo frutrating and upsetting. I am not a patient person and I will explode if I don't get an answer soon. Also the longer it takes the more I believe they wont approve me.

Still waiting for an answer to my appeal, and in the meantime just spent 3 1/2 days in the hospital. On Thursday I woke up with pain in the left lower abdomen, the pain just increased until I ended up in the ER by 2:00 pm. First they thought it was a problem with my ovary and ruled that out after ultrasound and blood work. Then had a CT which was read as diverticulitis and I get to be admitted. Then the GI doctor said it was epiploic appendigitis. “What!” Apparently a vein in the outer lining of my colon twisted causing the severe pain a process that will resolve itself. So after no food, some IV fluids, and very strong pain meds I start to feel better. Then the diarrhea from the CT contrast kicks in and boy was that awful. Was discharged on Sunday and I still feel a bit slow and run down, but head back to work tomorrow. I felt so lousy I begin to wonder if I can deal with what I will feel like if I do have the RNY surgery. 
Will it be worth it in the end, I wonder.

Still waiting for any word on my Human Resources appeal. Sent an e-mail yesterday to the benifits administrator who has been helping me, and no answer. Now I have to wait until Tuesday when she is in the office again. I never thought once I made my decision that the process of approval would be so difficult. My stomach is twisting into a pretzel, and I am having major difficulty sleeping. Quit smoking in April and last night dreamed of having a cigarette, which is strange since I really have had no cravings in at least a month. Oh well I guess that's stress for you!
