Came up for air--drowning in paperwork! Have pre-op testing today! Am all pre-registered for surgery...now just have to wait the twelve long days til it's time to be a loser!!

Happy Halloween!!
Ok, my office is a mess and I'm buckling down to get it organized before I'm off for two weeks. Ok, I'm diving in to the sea of paperwork...Chao!!!

Fourteen days...ooooohhhhhh yeah....fourteen days to go!!
Ok, so it's set...my husband and a dear friend will be waiting for me during surgery (both the lap RNY and removing the gallbladder) while my mother gets the two oldest on/off the bus and keeps the baby....whew what a load off my mind!
So, I have to be there at 8AM for my 10AM surgery and will get to my room sometime in the late afternoon. My husband will have a list of people to call to get the "she's ok" news moving. Visitors are welcome but please NO flowers (allergies--sneezing and stomach surgery just don't mix)...just come and walk the halls with me--you can hold my gown shut so the world doesn't see the "back forty!"

PANIC MOMENT: Ok, so I sent a fax to my PCP in September asking them to send a letter of medical clearance to Dr Chlysta so that I can get my surgery date.
I woke up this morning and thought maybe I should double check that the PCP sent what was needed since I've got my final appointment with Chlysta today to set my date. When I called the PCP they first told me that they'd never received my fax and would have to come in for an appointment prior to them sending a letter, then they found two accounts with my info in their system, and the final person said that they'd sent my office notes from my complete physical in March to Chlysta.
I called Rose (GOD, I love this woman) to see if what the PCP had sent was enough and she told me that all my ducks where in a row and I'll get my date today...no more panicking!! Pay the program fee and get a date...I think my stress level hit an all-time-high over this one!

I am excited that I get to see Dr Chlysta tomorrow and GET MY DATE!!
One of my forward-thinking, adventurous friends at work has offered to be the first to buy me "dental-floss" thong panties!! LOL I guess granny-panties just won't do after I become "normal"...OK but I'm not modeling them!! Victoria's Secret here we come...
Also, I've been told by some family members that although they want to see my grand reveal they don't want it be too revealing!! So I guess "hoochie-mama" clothes are a no-no! LOL

I was visited by the GREAT PUMPKIN over the weekend...someone knocked at my door and left a pumpkin bucket filled with goodies for my kids...I turned on the light, opened the door and the GREAT PUMPKIN was already gone...POOOF!! (Did you know that the GREAT PUMPKIN drives a little red speed racer ??)

Ok, so either my scale is off or the endocrinolgist's is off. I just came from her office and I've only lost 2 lbs according to her scale....WHAT??? My scale this am showed 10 lbs gone...I'm sure my clothes don't weigh 8 lbs so something just doesn't add up....hmmmmmmmmmmmm!
She told me that she wants me to stop the
Glucophage after surgery and only start again if my blood sugars start going whacky. Yeah...four less pills to take!! I'll see her again in February and will be a bit smaller by then!!

Saw my EENT yesterday and discussed getting off the time-released Allegra...he put me on Clarinex Readitabs instead and the allergies seem to be ok with it! I see the endocrinologist tomorrow...at least I've lost 10 lbs so maybe it won't be too bad! I can't wait to see Dr Chlysta and get my date...I'm ready to move to the losers' bench!
