Post Op Rny- Week 4

Yaay I finally made it thru my first month. My energy has come back so I started going to the gym which feels awesome. I was stalled for quite some time and kept gaining and losing the same few pounds, but fortunately with my new found zeal at the gym my weight loss has started back again (I actually was able to bench press 135lbs :) ) As of this morning (the beginning of week 5) I weigh 320.8 lbs :). My starting weight was 350 so I'm definitely excited!!! I met with my surgeon who said everything looked good and I was right on track. This past weekend was very hard for me because my depression was even worse. I truly feel my medication isn't absorbing at all so I'll be talking to my PCP next week during my appointment. Today I starting reading a book a fellow OH member recommended (Shrink Yourself by Roger Gould M.D.) which focuses on breaking free from emotional eating. I'm only a chapter or two in but I can already see that this is going to be a major help for me. My doctor was surprised that I had cravings for food so early on but explained everyone is different. With that being said it's even more important for me to get this emotional eating stuff under control.
