It is hard to believe that 2 years have passed since my RNY.
I am extremely happy with my results and just had my first ps done 6 weeks ago and just as happy with those results as well.
My personal life is very ........I am not sure what the right verbage should be, but anyway...."it is what it is" ...... for now!
On a positive note, I am taking my first 2 graduate courses this fall semester. 
LIPO is one of my greatest successes.  What a great group of nice, fun and inspiring people.  I am so happy to have them all in my life!

A lot has happened since my last blog two months ago.  Hmmm...lets see, I am in the current edition of the OH magazine, I am in a tv commercial for my doctor and Mather Hospital, I ran my first 5K and I was in my first play (a murder mystery fundraiser) none of this would have happened before WLS.  It is amazing how my life has changed.
I went to a wedding last night (i've posted pics on this profile) and for the first time since I can remember, I didn't feel forced to wear black.  I found a nice royal blue dress for $20.00 on a clearance rack (IThere is nothing better than a great deal!).  I purchased another in a lilac silk (another impossible color and fabric prior to WLS) which I will wear in 2 weeks to another wedding.
Felt pretty darn beautiful last night despite not one compliment from my DH!!!!!!  Will he ever learn?

Yesterday, I was asked to participate in a photo shoot for Dr. Ahmad (my bariatric surgeon).  I was one of several people asked.  Honored by the request I went to the taping at Mather Hospital.
We were taped individually doing some sort of exercise, then later our voices were recorded and finally a group shot was taken.  I am not certain that my picture will be chosen, however, I felt like a million bucks just being asked.
I was there from 2:00pm to 8:30pm.  Not just for the Photo Shoot, but also for my Dr.'s Info Session (which he asked me to speak at) followed by his monthly support group session.  Got home very late because of the snow and slow moving traffic.  
When I got home, my husband didn't even ask me how it went!  He is REALLY starting to piss me off with his lack of concern towards me.
For the first time in my life....I am beginning to feel beautiful...why isn't he acknowledging this?  I only get negative comments from him regarding how I look.  Truthfully, he was NEVER one to give compliments, but I REALLY REALLY NEED TO HEAR THEM THESE DAYS.....AND FROM HIM.  
I am enjoying receiving compliments from others.......but afraid that this is beginning to change me and my thoughts.

Trying to stay focused during this holiday season.
Life is great (except for my job :( 
Happy to say that I'm making good food choices on most days and exercising almost daily, in addition to my daily vitamins, getting enough protein inand trying to drink enough fluids.  These are the fundamental key to success after WLS.  

Feeling great!  I am now down 120lbs and am actually quite content with my weight and how I look but most importantly how I feel!

Life is good but hectic.  I'm really busy between working full time and taking 9 credits this semester, Member at Large @ SHS, in addition to leading "LIPO" which I love doing, and having my parents move nearby (I'm the only daughter) makes time FLY BY BIGTIME!!!!

Nevertheless, I feel extremely blessed to be healthy and soooo happy with my WLS results.  I am actually beginning to think about PS.  Never say NEVER bc I did just as recent as last year!

Well, my support group is growing.  We now have 23 participants.  I have a asked Karen I. to be a co-leader.  She is AWESOME!  She designed a beautiful logo for our group.  We are known as LIPO....Long  Island Post Ops.  I have to get her to post the logo on my profile to share with you all.

I'm now down 117lbs and life is great.
