ONDERLAND!!!!!

Aug 18, 2008

So last week I got on the scales and was waiting for the results... thinking to myself...yea yea it will say anywhere from 202 to 207 because we all know how our friend the scales works...up down and up down again.  Well I looked down and it said 199!!!!  I started to just ball and cry, I have not seen onderland in over 20 something years.  I run and got my 20 yr old daughter out of bed and she was saying "Mom what's wrong, what's wrong"  cause she could see I had been crying.  I would not answer her I just got back on the scale and I hear her sigh and started to cry and yell Mom you are under 200lbs... and then she just really cried knowing how importrant this is to me.  Thank you Jess, I love you!

My family have really been supportive and Jessica has been the best, if it wasn't for her I am not I would have made it this far.  She took care of me in the hospital and at home.  :)

So I have posted a new photo, I think most of you know that I am a professional photographer, that is what I do for a living full time. Well after I learned I weighted 199, I was off to see my bestie Chris, who I met on here.  She had her surgery in mid feb and I had mine apr 1.  She is the best!!!!  I am so glad that we met, so thank you OH!  Like she said on her profile... we have so much fun together, shopping and laughing... well anyway I shot some portraits of her and her daughter paige and when we were done Chris took some shots of me.  And in there was a portrait of myself that I actually love.  Thank you Chris.  I haven't loved a Reesa portrait since I was 16 years old and that was along time ago.

Well I am down almost 70lbs since syrgery and about 125 all together.

I guess that is it!

3 months out!

Jul 21, 2008

Well I am 3 1/2 months out and I have lost 60lbs from surgery and a total of 115 from when I was told about my diabetes by my PCP and started taking the meds in 2003.  I am so excited to have had the surgery and I would do it again in a heart beat.

At my 2 month appointment I was 32% weight loss so I guess I am doing ok.  I did stall a small amount for about 10 days and then finally the scale started to move again.  YEAH!

I have met some really great people on here so thank you too OH!  Janet from Ohio has become a great internet friend and we text almost everyday for moral support with each other.  We give and get advice to each other.

And Chris from CA, we have alot in common and have met in person and hit it off really well.  It is so awesome to meet someone in person and become friends that is on the same road in life.  Chris you will be a friend of mine for life... love ya Girl!

Well that about raps up my new blog post!  Thanks for reading!

Ok here we go!

Jun 05, 2008

I am 9 weeks out from surgery on april 1.  I have lost almost 45lbs and 102 since my highest weight in 2005.  I had diabetes and it is gone... gone!  I am so excited!  I have had no problems, no throwing up no dumping, I can eat pretty much what I want if I chew really well and I eat slow.  The key is to not drink with your meals and I hate that but I am making it now.  I can take all my vit. fine.  So I have heard so many bad stories and I am doing so well.  I can eat about 1 cup but sometimes smaller.  I drink my protein shakes everyday with no problem.

So I feel like a new person and I am so glad that I had my surgery.  I also love my Doctor he is the best!
