It's been a year...and two months.

Jan 27, 2010

It's been way too long since my last update.  I am now 14 months post-op and feeling wonderful.  I am 114 down and loving it.  I have gone from a 24-26 to a 10-12.  My weight loss has stopped for the time being.  It is my fault because I have stopped working out but I have decided to hire a trainer to get the last 30 pounds off.

I am sticking with the diet for the most part.  Now that I am a year out I allow myself to cheat on the weekends only.  I still eat a high protein breakfast everyday and a sensible lunch but I do splurge on weekend dinners having a nibble of bread or a couple of bites of potatoes.  My staples are still eggs and turkey bacon for breakfast.  Grilled chicken, steak, ham, turkey for lunch and dinner with green beans, brussel sprouts, or broccoli.  I always have almonds on hand and Atkins bars.

I need to add more water to my diet but I have never been a water drinker so that's hard for me to do.

My family just returned from a trip to Disney World and it was a whole different experience this time.  My back and legs didn't hurt, I fit in all the rides...comfortably, and I wasn't sweating profusely.

I love shopping now and have to really watch it because everywhere I go I can buy clothes.  I haven't been able to do that in a long time.  I can now wear all the brands I hated the skinny b's for wearing.

Swimsuit season is just around the corner so I am determined to lose the last 30 pounds so I am getting that trainer and kicking booty again.

Hope everyone is loving their sleeve and I hope you are all losers!
