"Asked why they felt I was uncooperative and unsuccessfull was told it was a standard statement they put on letters. While I was successful with the band they felt I didn't do the follow-ups required with nutritionis, pt, social worker. I don't remember them telling me I had to but....oh well moving on and working with them hoping to get revised to RNY. Again other than this one thing they are wonderful to work with. "

"I would like to add to my review. While Dr. Hammer is still very friendly and nice. I no longer feel his team really cares. After losing 100 pounds and keeping it off longer than I ever had(2 years) I started having problems with my band after having it unfilled and refilled several times was told it would be best to leave it unfilled. So I asked that it be taken out and revised to another surgery. I was told I was uncooperative and unsuccessful with the band. I was advised to see their nutritionist who promptly asked me if I was at my lowest weight since having the band which I wasn't and I felt she would of known it if she looked at my charts at all. I had to remind her three times my band was unfilled. I also found after talking to my primary care physician than I wasn't necessarily getting accurate information on my blood work. Where I work I know several other of his patients and it seems my story is quite similar to theirs all is fine and dandy while you are losing but as soon as you have problems it is you and not the band. So I am very disappointed at this time in the bariatric services with Dr. Max Hammer's group. "

"He is friendly knowledgeable, and takes the time to make you seem like you matter. His team really seems to care always as close as a email. "
