My first Week

My surgery was on Monday 3/15/10 and I spent two 1/2 days inpatient at the hospital.  It was nice to have a catheter for my first day in 1/2 at the hospital - no getting up to go to the bathroom a 100 times.  The worst part was the gas and secondly the diahrea after the GI drink.  Thankfully, my throat was not sore from the tubes and I only had a small smurf action on my face from the flow test.  I was released on Weds around noon.  I am happy to be home, but I am having some trouble trying to get all my liquids down.  I am not eating much, most things seem to get stuck in my throat and/or on the way down.  This AM I had 5 bites of grits with cheese, but after 10 minutes, my lower back and hips were hurting like crazy - I felt pretty miserable, not sure what happened???? Maybe I ate to fast? But, the worst part is over, it is time to start on the next chapter in my life.
