Hello! My name is Heather and I'm currently 29 years old and weigh in at ....drum roll please....284.I'm not proud of that, but I am proud that I've made the decision and taken the steps to be healthy again. I had had my first appt at my WLS doctors office on Friday. My six month waiting period is almost up and I'm GEEKED. I'm praying that BCBS will approve me quickly and I get a date before April.
I cant wait to be off of my meds for high blood pressure and diabetes. Imagine waking up and not being depressed when I look into the mirror! I'm counting the days! Right now there isn't a lot to tell. My next appt is my surgical consult on 3/13/07. At first I was a little perturbed with the fact that it was costing me so much out of pocket to have consults with the nutrionist, and metabolic tests and so on,but then I realized I was investing in my future. A future that includes my being able to paint my own toenails. Anyway , if there is anyone who has used the same Dr. that I'm using and can tell me about him and Lap Bariatrics or ~Alabama Surgical Consults I would appreciate it. Any encourgement and prayer is always appreciated. Thank you. :) !
