Hi to all it's good being back...Well I've been gone 4  awhile but, I'm back. I had done all the paperwork for my surgery and was waiting 4 approval and was denied approval. I was told that I first need 2 join a weight loss program. I did, I joined Weight Watcher's. I started ok but I felt I wasn't losing the weight fast enough. So, I joined another program call Extreme Weight Loss. It's aprogram were you are injected with Vitamin B12 & B6 and have 2 follow an intense food menu. Starches were eliminated from the menu until you were at maintainece level. I started the program at 265lbs. and ended at 218lbs. The lowest I got on the program was 209lbs. Today 4 months off the program I'm at 245lbs. I've decided to have Bariatric Surgery. I'm not sure which procedure I want to have. Before I was going to have the Lap Band procedure. I'm not sure. I meet with Dr. Andrew Averbach on 4/30/08.....

This was my story then....I've been overweight for most of my teenage years, my current weight is 269lbs. I'm 43 years old, married and have three children ages 15, 12 and 4 years of age. It's time for a lifestyle change, I'm ready. I've been a type two diabetic for nine years, it's very fustrating when my A1C level and my weight keeps going up and down. So. now I'm trying to see the pros and cons of weight loss surgery. I would like to meet with Dr. Andrew Averbach, my PCP has referred me to him to do the Lap Band or Gastric Bypass surgery, whichever one I'm best suited for. I'm reall happy that I stumble across this website. I think God has answered my prayers on my decision to have this procedure done. I have much support from family and friends.

God Bless 2 All....
