Listening to Earth, Wind and Fire, Frankie Beverly and Maze, Musiq Soulchild, Jill Scott, Anthony Hamilton, George Duke, Dave Koz, Kim Waters, I even have some Rock and Country in there. ...... yeah I am jamming.. cleaning up the house, Sterilize everything..Busy Busy weekend.. My daughter graduates High School tomorrow.. and the added bonus  NOOOO BABIES.....WHOO HOOOO... this time 18yrs ago.. I was graduating high school and she was 7mos old.. I am proud of my brat.. she starts Jr College in Aug 09, then out of state in 2 years.  1 down and one to go(my 15yr old daughter). Thennnn.. on Monday at 8:45am.. I begin my journey to a new and improved me.

They called and changed my surgery date from May 28th to June 8th.. Then I found out today 5/6/09 that they approved me yesterday 5/5/09. whoooo hooooooo... I am sooooo nervous now.. my mind is racing in so many directions.Where do I start, how do I start... ok.. friends.. if i never needed you before I need you now.

I am really glad they changed the date. It is the day after my oldest daughter graduates high school another whooo hooooo moment.

Is all I can say right now. I called the insurance company yesterday and I was told that because it was orginally sent to the wrong department, that when it got transferred to the correct department, the 30days started all over again. It was originally submitted on 4/8/09, and I was suppose to get an answer by 5/11/09. But becaue it did not reach the right department until 4/23/09, the 30days wait started over. So I am hoping and praying that they can still make a decision within this next 11days. I am going to try and start a partial liquid diet on my own to see how I do.

Here is an update. I received a call on 4/7/09  from the coordinator that they are sending my files over to the dr for review.  I received a call today 4/8/09 from the doctors office that they are submitting my records for approval, she asked me if the insurance co. said that I needed a 6 month diet history, I told her no! since this is what I was told when I called my insurance co on 1/27/09 to ask what the requirements were. The doctors office called me back with a tenative surgery date of May 28th 2009( woo hoo), but I won't get to excited yet. She gave me a date to call the utilization management to check on the status of my submission. (it is in the Lords hands now) sooo. when I get approved, I have to make an appt 2 weeks prior to surgery with the surgeon and also with my primary to get a full history and physical. I will have to then call the coordinator letting her know I was approved, I will then receive further instructions regarding the 2week diet that you have to do prior to surgery...

Pray for me..

Ill tell you. I will be 36 this friday 4/10 and from how it was explained to me, it seems to move pretty quickly after that..

Just when I thought I was done with all my pre-op stuff, waiting on the dr to review it and submit it. I get a call saying that they don't have my gallbladder ultrasound. I said well when I made the appt, that was what I told the Dr office what I needed. I told them that I changed from getting the Lapband to the RNY, that so that means I don't need to get the UGI, I needed a gallballer ultrasound, the doctors office kept telling me that they didnt do that, although it was an gastroenterologist group, I stated several times to the nurse that I need to get this done for preop RNY surgery. Me thinking that they knew more than me, I trusted that what they said is what I needed. I just want to slap somebody. So nowwww. I have to maybe, take more time off work(I need all the time I can keep) and go take another test, the copays are killing me. A 1700.00 test for what? NOTHING. Man, I should ask the doctor to do this one on the house, since his people messed up. Just a minor set back!!!!
