Learning Curve
Jan 25, 2010
I must say I am learning about me and my eating habits on this WL journey. I eat without thinking! Not good. Saturday night was my first "night" out. Went to some friends to watch the University of Kentucky CATS! GO CATS! Everyone brought food. I brought some things I thought I could eat and I ate some potato soup. All was good until I had to taste the pie-only the filling. . . then I had to have some of this desert like a chess squares. Needless to say I ate too much and my tummy hurt-ouch.
Well didn't quite learn my lesson. Sunday had shake for breakfast, lunch-sweet potato. Then for dinner I made pancakes from oatmeal, cottage cheese, and egg whites. Yummy! Well ate small bites and smart serving. Did okay. Later went to the kitchen to clean up and there was a couple of pancakes left over sitting on the counter. I picked one up and took a bite okay-then decided to dip another piece in applesauce-OH MY-didn't chew. First experience with something getting stuck. I had a total panic attack-it hurt so bad. I paced the floor, spit up, burped, finally drank 2 ounces of hot water. That fixed it. This episode lasted maybe 15 mintues and it left me shaking. I was so scared.
Today only liquids. No more pancakes! Hopefully this lesson will stick-no pun intended-for a day or two.
