Sooo...my story! Let's see here, where do I begin??!!?? As of right now, I am engaged to a wonderful man named James. He is supporting me through this thing 100%. He tells me he loves me no matter what size I am but I'm not doing this because of that, I'm doing this honestly because I want to live a long healthy life and share that with him. It's not all about looking good. Now I will have to admit I can't wait till the day I can buy a normal size and look good in it. I mean, and those are still not all of my reasons to want to have this surgery. My list goes on and on. So your probably wondering how I got like this to begin with. I mean I know I'm not overly huge but I am severly overweight. This is the biggest I have EVER been. I have been over weight throughout my whole life, starting from the day I was born. I weighed in at 13.0 lbs. Oh yeah, I was a big one. But ever since I can remember I have always been over weight. My doctor even told me when I was in High School he couldn't figure out why I was not loosing any weight because I was so active. It's not like I didn't try anything to get this weight off. I played 4 years of Softball, 1 year of Tennis, 1 year on the Swim team and 4 years in the Marching Band. So you tell me! And that's not including me working out everyday and eating a heathly diet. I just don't get it. The doctor put me on so many different medications and checked my thyrod and everything else in the book. You name it, I've probably done it! So I started thinking about Gastric Bypass several years ago but knew that I never could afford it but with my job, my insurance covers ALMOST all of it. So I will have some out of pocket expense. But it is soooo worth every penny to me. I'm hoping everything will go well with this. I've never had any kind of surgery and I have no health problems (I thank God for that everyday) but I am very over weight and alot of health problems run in my family. So I have a good chance of getting these health problems. I think this website is wonderful. I am so glad that I was referd to here. I will keep everyone who wants to know updated on my progress. So far, this is the first step. We'll see how things go!! Until then.....
