I had my 1st consult with Dr Bordelon on Sept 6, and have been waiting to hear from Jodi about my paperwork being sent over to the NUT and PSYCH, she left a message yesterday that the paperwork has been sent!!! I should be getting paperwork from them with a date soon.

Well today I met Dr Bordelon!!! He was wonderful!!! We discussed the different types of surgery even though my ins only allows  rny... he just wanted me to have some idea of what was out there. Since I work in an OR i told him I didnt really have any questions about the procedure itself, and we discussed the required new eating habits and possible complications of surgery.  And he took me to meet Jodi to move on to the next step, so I guess that means im approved by him!!!!! I know my ins will approve!!!!! So now I just wait for my NUT and PSYCH appts which will be on the same day due to the fact I live in another town. Jodi says call her next week to verify all is well with ins. and she will send my papers to NUT......I am not planning on having surgery until beginning of Feb or middle of Feb so I have plenty of time....

I got a call today to schedule my first appointment with the Dr.  There are 4 docs at the office im going to, so I said she could choose for me, and she scheduled me to see Dr Bordelon on Sept 5..... I am so happy!!!!!!!!

I went to my info meeting today!!!! got all the paperwork started and will call tomorrow for my first appt with the DR. I probably will plan on surgery end of Jan or early Feb.

On Aug 28 07 I am going to Colo Spgs for an informational seminar at Penrose Hospital, I know the RNY is covered by my insurance as I work for Centura Health who owns Penrose.  I have printed out the list of questions, I have gathered all the info I may need, and I will post more after that appt.
