July 09 Update

Well,..its been a while,...  Recap:
Since Sept 08 I ran for election to my local City Council and was elected Nov 8, 08.
I was training for my first half marathon Nov 15, 08 and missed it to do a brunswick stew fund-raiser.  I injuried my hip Thanksgiving 08 and was on crutches till my 3rd ortho surgeon did a laproscopic scope and removed a significant bone spur, fixed some loose cartilidge, and grounded down an arthritic spot March 17, 09; none of which was showing on the C-Scans.  My weight went up 35 lbs since I had to stop running but I adjusted my eating habits and restarted jogging Memorial Day weekend; May 24 09.  Weight is coming back down.  The jogging is like starting all over again after 8 months off but I know now it will be worth it.  As of June, I have taken up training to become a HS football official & that requires physical activity that will help keep me fired up to keep moving.  I intend to get back to at least my 10K form and may try a future half but no registered races to-date.  During my injury time, I cancelled my OH.com account but found myself checking in and lurking to see how some of my buddies were progressing.  But not being a registered member prevented me from posting any replies.  Consequently,  I found myself missing my online friends and while there has been some significant turnover, I still know some of you and want to be available to help the newcomers; the faces change, the questions ansd issues remain similar. So,...I rejoined as of July 9 and can post again,..so be warned.......:O)
