Sheryl, Thank God for the blessing that you have just received. I am so very happy that all of our prayers have been answered. I hope and pray that your health continues to improve and that you continue to have a fantastic weight loss. I don't know how that kudos board works, but there is a message on there for you. I am grateful to God to see someone as caring as yourself on this site. I pray that God continues to bless you.

i had a 'first' visit with a new gastro dr today. the news is FANTASTIC, STUPENDOUS & SUPERB! i do NOT have cirrhosis of the liver. my liver is very fatty & somewhat scarred from a lifetime of obesity. i do not have to have an endoscopy, think about a liver transplant or even consider having my surgery reversed. in fact he said my rny/gbp was the best thing i could have done for myself. WOOOHOOO!! he gave me a new medicine that, if it works well for me, i will take the rest of my life. it will not cure or fix my liver damage but it will, combined with continued weight loss & healthy eating, stop anymore from happening. i can never put into sufficient words how thankful i am to all of u for ur prayers & good wishes. i do know that ur outpouring of love changed my crisis into a grain of sand on a 5 mile beach. thank u all so much! thank u for being who u r...caring, warm, loving, sensitive & compassionate people. i am truly blessed to have had a successful wls, my extremely supportive hubby & children, a new granddaughter, a cardiologist who i now know will never steer me wrong, a very knowledgeable gastro dr, a surgeon with magic hands & AMOS. god bless each & everyone of u.

i am now standing on the brink of morbid obesity & obesity. yesterday was weigh day for me & i have lost another 4 lbs bringing my total loss so far to 46 lbs in 9 weeks. i continue to feel wonderful & am no longer wearing clown pants. i have disposed of them & am now wearing jeans that have been in the back of the closet for years.

Hi Sheryl, wanted to thank you for all your support and words of wisdom, you are making this waiting time bearable!!! I can't thank you enough for volunteering for "Angel Duty", especially with your surgery being only two months out, your an amazing woman! You have had so many difficulties along the way, but you hung in there, and now look at the success your having! I'm so Happy for you and your Hubby, you deserve it! Love & Hugs, Dolores

Girl, you are such an ispiration. I really like reading your posts. Hope your Anglettes perk up soon! Congrats on the new grand baby! I'm 5 weeks out and have lost 34 lbs. Still not quite on solids yet but I'll get there soon. God Bless you and your energy! You picked up my spirit!

8 weeks post op & i have lost a total of 42 lbs!! my bmi is 40.7 & that means i am almost no longer morbidly obese! i am on solid foods now & did the cottage cheese test today. my pouch is 2 1/2 oz. i am a brand new grandma & i feel terrific! thank u god. i knew having wls was the right thing for me.

today was a great day! i am so happy i had to share my good news. my dear sister & brother in law came in from albuquerque last nite & immediately noticed my weight loss. today i had a check up at the cardiologist & he was all smiles. we went over my blood tests from yesterday & WOW! my numbers r sure going down outside AND inside my body! in july my cholesterol was 240 & my triglycerides were 195. today my cholesterol is 187 & my triglycerides r 136!!! WOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!! of course there was lots of hugging & kissing going on. his nurse couldnt believe how much weight i lost & that was from just looking at me, not knowing what the scale said. more hugging & kissing lol. the dr is sending me to a liver specialist right here in las vegas that he sent his own parents to. my appt is feb 5th. so i cancelled the mayo appt til after i see the dr.
