its monday! weigh & measure day.i am 5 weeks post op, still on pureed food & boy is it OLD! i didnt lose any weight since last monday but i did lose a whole bunch of inches since my last measure day, jan 1. my total for the past 2 weeks is 11 3/4 inches over all. total of inches lost since surgery is 24 1/2. total lbs lost since surgery is 32. yippee!

ITS MONDAY!!!! yay! hubby & i did the scale ritual & the look on his face almost made me cry. i am down to 248 lbs!! lololol. i feel like a kid with an all day sucker. thats a total of 24 lbs gone forever. woooooohooooooooooo!!!!

i saw the liver specialist today. i am so bummed out. i have cirrosis of the liver & hepatitis. he also thinks i have, get this, varicose veins in my esophagus! eeeewwwwwwww. i have to have an endoscopy feb 1. he will be able to treat the varicose veins during the procedure. hopefully my liver will get better with the weight loss. the biopsy does show that my liver is regenerating itself even tho its 'sick' so thats an excellent sign. on the good side...of course they had to weigh me in his office & i have lost another 4 pounds since monday!! yay!! total of 22 since 12/18.

gee with all the posting i did yesterday u would think i would have remembered to mention a very important step in my new life. in fact, its even better than the amount of lbs ive lost. NO MORE BLOOD PRESSURE MEDS!!! i havent been on any of my meds except my zoloft since the day before surgery. when i was in the hospital my bp fluctuated but in the normal zones. when i was discharged it was the lowest it had EVER been. yesterday at my pcp visit it was normal. so doc said...no more meds. lets monitor for a while. yipeeeee!!! hope u all had an enjoyable & safe new years eve.
