Well it has been 14 years - wow- since I had my surgery with Dr Gastwirth. She was pleasant and informed me of the procedure but there was no follow up except that it was not working for me and she suggested I have the lapband-why would I have the lapband if I had the roux en y? I am so disappointed because I can not find anyone who will redo my surgery.

I have been seeing a surgeon but only will do a APC or the Rose procedure which is ok but still not loosing much weight.

I guess Dr. Pam Gastwirth is no longer praticing-I wonder why???

My first impression was that she was very competent and I knew she was the one to do my surgery. I had been seeing another surgeon and was thinking about the Lap Band, but had some doubt. Over time I became to know Pamela Gastwirt and was much more comfortable and certain of the surgery. I booked the Roux En Y. The office staff were very supportive and freindly. I would definetly recommend her for surgery. She had family medical issues and was out for a period of time. She was very complete in going over the risks of surgery. I would rate her 110%. Her surgical competence and bed side manner are both great. She is wonderfull....

Dr. Gaswirt and her team were excellent. She is a very compassionate physician and took the time to listen and answer each and every question that I had. I never felt rushed.

I went back for my one year post-op and can honestly say that I felt like she really did remember who I was.

She is great, and I feel confident having her do my surgery next month.

Dr. Gastwirt is wonderful. The first time I met her I was impressed at how down to earth she is. Her partner is great also. I went to an information meeting, then met with Dr. Gastwirt after. Because I had been thinking of this procedure for about two years, I had a lot of information already, and had a lot of medical tests already done. We agreed to set my surgery date. She gave me a list of things to do, and I did them. Her office has a surgery coordinator who just makes things easier. The office staff was always wonderful and helpful. Dr. Gastwirt is VERY specific about aftercare, you will receive a schedule of when your appointments need to be made. She was open and honest about the surgery risks, but also let me know that this surgery would change my life forever. It has. I love Dr. Gastwirt, she has given me hope. And while she called me a "good doobie," and told me I am very motivated - I believe you can't ever truly know what you are in for until you have this done. The changes are all good, but not easy. It's tough sticking to an eating plan that is boring. It's tough keeping your energy p. And it's tough when you think you aren't losing the weight fast enough. Dr. Gastwirt is an excellent surgeon, but she is also a human being. Both are necessary to this process. She helps me keep my mind on track with my body.

I've been pleased with Dr. Gastwirt and her staff and the team at Faulkner Hospital. Everyone is so helpful and understanding of my nerves and concerns. They're always there when I need them and follow through on everything. I know if I have any questions, I'm not afraid to ask, they make me feel very comfortable and secure. They go over every detail of the surgery and the steps along the way.

From the first consultation with Dr. Gastwirt in June 04, I loved her. She has a great bedside manner, very professional, upbeat, and easy to talk to. She explained to me everything I needed to know about the surgery. The office staff are all friendly, return phone calls promptly. There is nothing I dislike about Dr. Gastwirt, she is wonderful. She takes pride is informing her patients that since she has small hands, the incision is smaller. She was right, mine is. She has followed me after surgery closely, I had a problem with my incision healing slowly, however I am fine now. She is rated AAA+, and highly recommended.

Dr Gastwirt was grat I was excited, because she was very knowledgable and was reaasuring about everything I could possibly think of. My impression over time didn't change I felt as though at all times she handeled any questions ,and concerns well. Her office staff was poilte and excellent, and I also liked the fact that her staff was a small team. Everyone I dealt with along the way emphasized aftercare to a detailed extent including the detailed after care program. Overall I would give Dr.Gastwirt an excellent rating, and I agree both beside manner and surigcal compentence was great.
