Northern Colorado Surgical Associates Bariatric Center

North Colorado Surgical Associates
where Dr. Dickinson is one of the
surgeons is very supportive. I attend
their support groups once a month and
they are very much of help to me.
Sometimes there are special speakers
like one lady came and talked on
relationships after the surgery. I
haven't had the surgery yet but it has
been a help and encouragement to me to
talk to the people at the support group
who have had the surgery. I haven't
met one person yet who says they wish
they hadn't had the surgery.
I would like to say the entire staff
and doctors at North Colorado Surgical
Associates in Fort Collins, Colorado are
very understanding, caring, and
compassionate. I am very pleased!!
My surgery is September 2. 8-)

Dr Pettine is a very friendly, very knowledgable and very caring man. He has never once hesitated at all to answer any questions I or my wife have had. He was very up front about the seriousness and risks of this surgery but on the other hand very encouraging and re-assuring. Never have I felt that he was trying to hurry me through any of my appointments so he can get on to his next patient. Furthermore, his office staff is great. Same deal..very caring and helpful. His surgical competence and skills are outstanding and only equaled by his bedside manner. Bottom Line... he and his staff are just GREAT! I would reccommend them very highly.I know I'm supposed to include something "negative" but I really can't think of anything. Oh, okay. He wouldn't let me sleep on my stomach until the first post-op visit.

I thought he was really soft spoken and young
He is still soft spoken and young but he is really good. Caring and supportive
One word AWESOME
The fact that he was so soft spoken kinda made me feel a little uncomfortable but as time went on It was obvious that is just him
not to let his age or his soft tone scare you he really is great
he is very thorough
yes frequent check ups
he is honest and goes over the risks completely
he's a great surgeon
both great

My first impression was great. His office staff is wonderful and very organized. They have several steps to follow and are very knowledgeable.
What you should know is that it takes a while to get in.
Aftercare very important.
Very straight forward about the risks involved and how important it is to take care of yourself.
Would rate him a 10, but ask me after surgery (haha).
His bedside manner is great, dont know about surgical yet! Will let you know.
Had my first follow up today would recommend him A#1

met Dr. Quaid in February 2002. My first thoughts were that he was informative and thorough. He is compassionate and patient, and seems very personable. I was on a waiting list for almost 7 months, I found the office staff to be helpful and pleasant. Dr. Quaid was upfront about the complications and risks of the surgery. I feel confident with him as my surgeon. May 19th I am now 6 days post-op, and I can safely say that Dr. Quaid is totally awesome!! I felt so secure and confiedent with him doing this surgery, his office staff is also completly helpful. If you live in Colorado or near by, I would recommend him and the Poudre Valley Hospital to anyone, my experience there and with him was great, everything I could have asked for. I just read the bottom of this page and it says no one can be the best, well, I think that Dr. Quaid is the best!!

When I had my first appt. I wasn't sure about Dr. Pettine, I was worried and he seemed so sure about himself. I left feeling scared. Now that I look back I know I was scared because I was afraid that I might not actually get to have the surgery because of my insurance! But my next appt. I really grew to like him and his sense of humor, and that he really enjoyed his job & should feel sure about his skills! He cared about my husband's concerns, addressing his questions with the same time he gave mine! The staff was very busy but still professional, the aftercare is so helpful, you just don't do this type of surgery without some type of afercareprogram! I had my surgery at the surgery center and that was amazing, the nursing staff was excellent! I have had very little problems, and feel lucky & blessed. For anyone out there I'd say research, research, research - make sure this is right for you. And if you can have Dr. Pettine !

I was very satisfied with Dr. Dickenson. He was a very nice soft spoken person who listens. The office staff is outstanding- they are so nice and they did all my paperwork for me and submitted to insurance. I was actually really impressed he knew what PCOS was- that was a huge help for a Dr. to know a condition that isn't in their field and to have knowledge of it- Kudos to him!!!he explained everything very well and told me the risks of the surgery. Out of a 1-10 scale with 10 being the highest- I would give him an-11

I was impressed with Dr. Dickinson and his staff. Everyone was so kind, and I wasn't treated with that usual sidelong glance that medical professionals like to use when dealing with "the unwashed." In his office, I was treated not only like an individual but an individual with a brain. They took a lot of time with me and were careful to make sure I was getting a support system in place. Based on the first meeting, I'd recommend him highly.

Dr. Pettine seems very confident. He spent a lot of time with me and my husband discussing to pros and cons of the surgery and painted us a realistic picture of all that it would entail.
So far so good.
The staff is very friendly and accomodating.
There is nothing negative to say about Dr. Pettine.
He is very handsome!
I will update after surgery.
